As expected, today’s Notre Dame-Michigan State game was a slugfest, in which the Fighting Irish outlasting the Spartans 17-13 in South Bend. After the game, Mark Dantonio was predictably unhappy, and when prodded by the media, took the bait and went off against the reffing in the game:

To be fair, there were a lot of pass interference calls in the game — the Spartans were flagged for defensive pass interference on four occasions, and had a lesser defensive holding penalty once as well. That being said, Dantonio should know better than to rag on the refs — who pretty much gifted MSU a win over Notre Dame just a couple of years ago — it all evens out.
