Kliff Kingsbury Used Kirk Herbstreit’s GameDay Pick Against TTU To Motivate His Team
When it comes to being the coolest college football coach in America, Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury claims the title without contest. He looks like Ryan Gosling, is extremely laid-back on the sidelines, and he’s led his current Red Raiders team to a 7-0 start.
After the 37-27 win over West Virginia, he had a pretty amusing quote about what motivated his team to win:
Most coaches would say that their teams tune out the media or don’t put much stock in this sort of thing. Not Kliff though — he knows that it’s cool to watch College GameDay, and getting a little bulletin board material in the process doesn’t hurt his cause either. I’m sure Kirk will admit that he was impressed by Texas Tech’s performance today, too, so everybody wins.
