Frank Martin Suspended After Cursing Out Duane Notice During Game Against Florida

Dan Lyons

Frank Martin is incredibly intense, and that got him in some hot water after he lashed out on South Carolina guard Duane Notice during this week’s loss to Florida.

Early in a Florida run that led to a 30-point Gator win, Martin dropped a few choice expletives while yelling at Notice. His rant was caught on camera, and quickly made the rounds on Twitter.

South Carolina brass don’t seem to appreciate the tirade, and Martin has reportedly been suspended for the Gamecocks’ last game of the regular season, a Saturday trip to Mississippi State.

This isn’t exactly new behavior for Martin, so it will be interesting to see how South Carolina handles him going forward.

Yesterday, we showed you a clip of San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh making a half-court shot at Kansas’ basketball practice after he spoke to the team earlier in the day. Well, it looks like the Jayhawks were impressed enough with this performance to suit him up in KU gear. Adidas tweeted out a photo of one of its new #MadeForMarch jerseys that it produced just for Harbaugh. Check it out:

The issue? It probably won’t look good with khakis, so it’s unlikely we’ll see Harbaugh wearing it out and about. Perhaps it’s one for the trophy case instead.

Report: College Football Makes Sensible Adjustment To Targeting Rule sexandsecretss.blogspot.com

sexandsecretss.blogspot.com ® Report: College Football Makes Sensible Adjustment To Targeting Rule

Dan Lyons

While most of the rule change discussions of this off-season center on the now-tabled “Saban Rule” that would aim to slow down college offenses, the NCAA Football Rules Committee has made a very sensible change to the targeting rule. According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, overturned targeting penalties will no longer remain 15-yard penalties against teams. This rule never made much sense, and was one of the most controversial during the season, so it is good to see that common sense has prevailed here.

McMurphy’s followers are very excited about the change.

Adidas rolls out new uniforms for March Madness on a pretty consistent basis. This year’s line is called “Made in March”, and some of the company’s top schools will be rocking new uniforms this post-season.

Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Indiana, UCLA, Baylor, Kansas and others will be among the schools participating. We will update this story as new schools unveil their uniforms. A total of 10 big-time programs will be wearing these over the next few weeks.

ESPN college basketball announcer Bill Walton often seems a little out there when calling Pac-12 games for the network. Perhaps that’s because he is out there.

Walton and Dave Pasch had just finished up an interview with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman (who Walton kept calling Bob Marley) when the camera shot to Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback, who was also in the crowd for the Stanford vs. Colorado game. Pasch simply wanted to know what Walton thought of Luck. Something did not compute.

Bill Walton – clearly not an NFL fan. Either that or he stopped watching about three years back.

It turns out the shelf life on the famous Ellen Degeneres selfie is longer than we thought. Michigan basketball, which last night won its first outright Big Ten title since 1986, decided to get in on the action by tweeting its own version with all of its players. It also came with an immediate apology.

At this point, I think we should all just be happy that it’s not getting the Gangnam Style treatment. Anyway, this is actually a pretty decent Photoshop job.
