ESPN analyst Dan Dakich is probably a proud father, after watching his son Andrew, a walk-on at Michigan, play while the Wolverines captured the Big 10 regular season title last night. Illinois fans believe that Dakich has a rooting interest on the other side of the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry as well. Illinois played Michigan last night, and the Orange Krush was ready for a few jabs at the opposing bench player, put together this Dakich family photo, complete with Ohio State point guard Aaron Craft. Dan Dakich is an outspoken fan of Craft’s game, so this is pretty perfect.

This photoshop seems to be canon for Orange Krush, who previously listed Dakich as Aaron Craft’s dad in a clever bio for Illinois’ matchup with Ohio State.

Michigan crushed Illinois 83-54, so at least the Illini were able to claim victory on the clever photoshop front, because things did not go well on the basketball court.

This past Saturday, ESPN college basketball analyst Dan Dakich made headlines after ripping official Ted Valentine during his call of the Michigan State vs. Illinois game. Dakich insulted Valentine, who had gotten into it earlier in the day with Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin, claiming that if he’d been the coach in the situation, he’d have “knocked him out”. He also said that he “can’t understand” why he has a job.

Oddly enough, Valentine was working the game that Dakich was calling tonight – Michigan vs. Illinois. With around two minutes to play, Dakich’s son Andrew, who is a reserve for the Wolverines, entered the game. Dakich couldn’t resist throwing another jab at Valentine.

As you can see, Mike Tirico loved it. ESPN’s brass – well, I’m not so sure there.

Give South Carolina some credit, the basketball team may be 11-19, but they’ve managed to be interesting as of late… and at least one half tonight. The Gamecocks knocked off Kentucky over the weekend, and trailed Florida by just two heading into the half, but the wheels came off the Cockaboose mid-way through the second half, when Florida began a wild 33-11 run to finish the game, a 72-46 Gator win.

Early in that run, freshman guard Duane Notice did something to anger the always-volatile Frank Martin, who was caught going on this tirade on camera. Lost Lettermen was able to put together an accurate-looking transcription of Martin’s message to Notice.

Gator fans clearly had fun with what turned into a Florida rout, but since this is the SEC, in the end it all boils down to football, and South Carolina fans still have Florida’s abysmal season to hold over their rivals’ heads.

Well played, Gamecocks, well played.

Johnny Manziel’s girlfriend, Lauren Hanley, is starting to make quite the name for herself. Tuesday, COED unveiled a photo shoot that it did with Hanley that involves her wearing lingerie holding an RPG – aka a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Here’s why:

The concept behind our second shoot was that Lauren and big guns are both things that men love, so why not throw her into some sexy black lingerie and hand her one of the biggest firearms known to man? The results were pretty… explosive.

I’m not sure whether Manziel is going to have good or bad dreams after seeing these photos, but here are a few shots from the feature. You can see the rest here.

Tonight’s game against Georgia Tech is a big one for Syracuse on a number of levels. The Orange are attempting to get off the schneid after losing three of their last four games, and it is the final home game for two seniors and fan favorites—forward CJ Fair and center Baye Moussa Keita. In honor of Fair, Syracuse is giving away headbands to fans at the Carrier Dome. The headband has been a signature accessory for Fair throughout his Orange career.

No word on if there are any Baye Moussa Keita-theme giveaways, but the high-energy big man has been a fan favorite and key reserve for four years. Expect a few Senegalese flags to fly in the student section tonight to honor the seven-footer, who moved from the African nation to the U.S. just a few years before arriving at Syracuse.

The reception from the Carrier Dome crowd should be very warm for these two seniors, who have helped Syracuse to an Elite 8 and Final Four in their last two seasons, and have the Orange looking at a possible No. 1 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James, if you somehow haven’t heard, had himself a pretty nice little game last night against the Charlotte Bobcats. James scored 61 points on 22-of-33 shooting while pulling down seven boards and dishing out five assists in Miami’s big victory. James performance, surprisingly, was the the first time he’s ever scored over 60 points in a game – and it was also a Miami Heat record.

Tuesday, James took to Instagram and posted a clever photo of himself with a ’61′ jersey instead of his normal ’6′. It’s obviously the work of someone quite talented with Photoshop, but it’s very cool nonetheless.

LeBron

It’s a bit unlike James to flaunt his accomplishments, as he’s always been known as a team-first kind of player. Perhaps we’re starting to see a new-age LeBron.

Dabo Swinney Announces That 4 Clemson Players Are Suspended For Georgia Opener

Matt Lombardi

We’re still six months away from college football kicking off, but we’ve already got some unsettling news regarding one of the sport’s biggest events of the opening weekend. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney announced during his press conference Tuesday that four of his players will be missing the game due to a “violation of team rules”. He offered little context, but did mention that they “didn’t rob a bank”.

More as we learn it.
