Last weekend, the Syracuse family lost a very well-respected member — Rob Edson, longtime university official and Onondaga Community College athletic director, passed away at 45 after a sudden heart attack.

For today’s game against Tulane, Syracuse has added a nice tough to the end zones at the Carrier Dome — Edson’s initials:

It’s a small gesture, but one that likely means a lot to Edson’s family. Well done, Syracuse.
