Non-traditional basketball floors are all the rage in college sports right now. We’ve seen some pretty fancy new court designs this offseason, for schools such as Memphis , UCF , and George Washington , among others.
It appears that UTEP is joining the club, as the Miners are replacing the floor at the Don Haskins Center — this rendering of the new design was tweeted out by women’s associate head coach Ewa Lasksowska:
I really like the massive shadowed pickaxes — they are definitely unique to the UTEP program and give the floor some spice.
What are your thoughts?
