Alabama’s star quarterback A.J. McCarron didn’t get to go to Los Angeles tonight for the ESPY Awards (even though his girlfriend is there ) — and it doesn’t seem that he’s too upset about it. In fact, McCarron decided to take a shot at the athletes in attendance on Twitter:

Okay, so he sounds just a little bitter. McCarron is hinting that he’s about winning championships and working hard, not about all the fame and individual awards. While he doesn’t have a Heisman like his SEC counterpart Johnny Manziel, his rings do the talking.

It will be interesting to see if he gets asked about this tweet at SEC Media Days tomorrow, considering he normally isn’t one to make waves.
