Photo: Stanford And “Bringham Young” Are Currently Squaring Off On The Hardwood, Apparently
Stanford is a school that, despite its very successful athletics programs, is known first and foremost for its stellar academics (which is a great thing, by the way). However, the school had an “oops” moment tonight when it came to spelling — on the parking passes for the basketball game at Maples Pavilion, Stanford was apparently set to square off against “Bringham Young.”
Obviously the school is actually “Brigham Young” and it was a simple mistake, but it’s still pretty amusing when you consider Stanford’s great academic reputation and the fact that the error was actually made in two separate spots on the passes. Don’t worry though, Stanford, because Notre Dame (another great school) had its own spelling error earlier this year that went viral, too — it happens.
