It was just six months ago that Hawaii announced it’d be bringing back the “Rainbow Warriors” team name for its football squad. Now, at least for one night, the school will be bringing back its old uniforms as well. Hawaii has just unveiled a video that gives fans their first look at the throwback green-on-white rainbow uniforms that the players will be wearing for “Retro Night” against San Diego State. The new digs, created by Under Armour, are modeled off of the school’s 1960s jerseys.
It’s worth noting that the video does not contain a shot of the helmet the Rainbow Warriors will be wearing. Perhaps that will be a separate release.
Personally, I think the gloves and cleats are awesome. Hawaii fans – what say you?
