After a tremendous regular season that culminated in a victory over Duke in the ACC Championship, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has won the 2013 Heisman Trophy. Tonight at the 79th Heisman presentation, Winston claimed the prestigious award over Johnny Manziel, AJ McCarron, Jordan Lynch, Andre Williams, and Tre Mason.
So far in his first year year of college football, Winston has led the Seminoles to a perfect 13-0 record. He also has racked up impressive statistics: he’s thrown for 3820 yards and 38 touchdowns, and punched in another four touchdowns on the ground. Next up for Winston is the BCS National Championship Game against Auburn on January 6th, in Pasadena.
