Video: Michigan Misses Game-Winning 3-Point Attempt At The Buzzer, No. 1 Arizona Escapes 72-70
No. 1 Arizona had its hands full today when the Wildcats visited No. 25 Michigan at the Crisler Center. The Wolverines controlled the game early, leading for almost the entirety of the first half, but it’s how you finish, not how you start. Arizona battled back in the second half, led by forward Brandon Ashley who finished by 18 points and six rebounds.
With 1.4 seconds left to play and trailing by two, the Wolverines had a desperation three-point attempt for the win at the buzzer off of an Arizona missed free throw. Nick Stauskas rebounded the ball and threw up a nearly full-court heave that bounced off of the backboard on the other end:
