I’m not sure that this comes as the biggest surprise ever, but it doesn’t appear that CBS announcer Verne Lundquist listens to much R&B. At the very least, he doesn’t seem very familiar with Ne-Yo.
During his call of today’s Army-Navy game, Verne had to read a promo for Celine Dion’s ‘A Home For The Holidays’ concert that will air on CBS on Wednesday, which also features Ne-Yo (and Chris Young). When he came across the recording artist’s name while reading the ad, it appeared that he had never heard of him, or else he just happened to pronounce his name very awkwardly.
