Tonight, Richard Sherman was the hero of the NFC Championship Game for the Seattle Seahawks, tipping a Colin Kaepernick pass to a teammate in the game’s final minute for the game-clinching interception . After the game, Sherman was not the most gracious winner — he blasted 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree on live TV in his postgame interview with FOX’s Erin Andrews. He called Crabtree a “sorry wide receiver” and said that No. 15 should never talk about him ever again.
A few hours later, Crabtree has taken to Twitter to respond to Sherman — he doesn’t believe that Sherman is quite as good as he thinks he is:
Now, there has been a lot of debate in the past about whether or not Sherman is actually the best corner in the league like he proclaims — that is still up for contention. Crabtree didn’t have a great game against him, but did manage four catches for 52 yards, which isn’t a completely terrible performance either. The bottom line here is that both players have no respect for each other.
Michael Crabtree is by no means “sorry” as a wide receiver, and Richard Sherman can certainly be beaten too. This time, however, the last laugh goes to Sherman with the win.
