According to the official Twitter handle for Penn State Athletics, the school will be making a “major announcement” on Saturday at 4:15 EST. The Nittany Lions are expected to announce their next football head coach after former head man Bill O’Brien’s recent departure.
It’s been reported by numerous publications that PSU and Vanderbilt coach James Franklin have agreed to terms, despite the school’s AD David Williams reportedly doing his best to convince him to stick around. According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, the deal will be worth up to 4.5 million per year.
