This time around, there was no miracle comeback for the New England Patriots in Denver. While Tom Brady was able to, yet again, rally his troops from a huge deficit (20-3 after three quarters) against the Broncos on the road, it just wasn’t enough to escape with victory. With Denver leading, 26-16, with just over three minutes to play, New England needed a 2-point conversion after a 5-yard touchdown scramble by Brady to make it a one-score game.

While the Broncos had to settle for four Matt Prater field goals on the afternoon, their offense held the ball for almost 36 minutes in the contest. Peyton Manning is headed back to the Super Bowl.
