Jimbo Fisher On Winston: “I Expect Jameis To Be Here Two More Years”
Today is National Signing Day for college football programs, and coaches across the country are thrilled to add new guys to their rosters. Before Jimbo Fisher talked about his new additions today, however, he made a bold proclamation about a player he already has in the mix: Jameis Winston. Fisher said that he “expects” Winston to spend two more years at Florida State:
Winston staying two more years, of course, would make him a mythical “six-star” recruit — an established veteran star that spurns the NFL for an extra season of college ball. Considering his immense pro potential and the things he has already accomplished, it would shock most if he doesn’t head to the NFL after next season, but at least for now, Fisher has given fans some hope that they’ll have their Heisman signal-caller under center for a few more years.
