With the opening ceremonies set to kick off for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, tech giant Google is making it known how it feels about Russia’s anti-gay propaganda law. In a move that’s sure to be praised by the LGBT community, Google has switched over to a rainbow logo that shows different winter sports, along with a quote from the Olympic Charter.
It was back on June 30th of 2013 that President Vladamir Putin signed into effect a law that bans “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors”. The law has been met with much criticism from around the world.
