When this year’s bowl schedule was released, many fans circled the Capital One Bowl right away as one that is definitely must-see TV — Wisconsin and South Carolina are two very physical, tough, and perhaps a bit underrated teams. Two days from now the Badgers and Gamecocks will square off in Orlando, and we’ll definitely be watching.
South Carolina, in particular, is chomping at the bit, ready to go. The Gamecocks are two-point underdogs in the game, and they’ve been using that as serious motivation. Star defensive end Chaz Sutton said today that he views it as a “slap in the face” that South Carolina isn’t the favorite:
The Gamecocks have a better record than the Badgers, and the SEC was far stronger than the Big Ten this season, so it’s easy to see why Sutton may not necessarily agree with who is favored. Thankfully for him, he’ll get a shot to prove his team’s doubters wrong.
