Dee Ford Runs A 4.53 40-Yard Dash During A Monster Auburn Pro Day Performance
Dee Ford made some waves at the NFL combine for his comments about Jadeveon Clowney, and it looks like he’s ready to back those words up. Ford, who sat out at the combine due to a medical issue, put on a show at today’s Auburn Pro Day:
Unofficial times tend to be a few hundredths of a second faster than laser-timed runs, but Ford’s 4.53 would tie him with Clowney for the fastest time among all defensive linemen, based on combine numbers. Only nine defensive linemen put up more than 29 bench reps at the combine, and a 10’4″ broad jump would have also tied Clowney for second among all defensive linemen. The 35.5″ vertical jump would have tied for seventh.
It’s hard to have a better workout than Ford did at Auburn today.
