Everett Golson Says He Is “More Mature, More Polished” Ahead Of Return
Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson, who was suspended from the university for the fall semester after exercising “poor academic judgment”, is back as a member of the Fighting Irish ahead of spring practice. Monday, during his first press conference since rejoining the squad, Golson explained how the ordeal helped him to become “more mature” and “more polished” as a quarterback. Golson worked with quarterback guru George Whitfield during the fall.
Golson also talked about how he was humiliated at first, but that the situation allowed him to grow.
With senior Tommy Rees graduating this year, Golson should theoretically have the upper hand on winning the starting role. If he’s anywhere near his old form, the Irish could have another great season.
