Texas’ McCoy On Being Underdogs Against TCU: “Probably Because I’m The Quarterback, Right?”
Last night, Texas announced that quarterback David Ash will not play against TCU as he recovers from lingering head issues. In his absence, the reigns will continue to be handed to senior Case McCoy.
Texas is a 2.5-point underdog in Forth Worth this weekend against the Horned Frogs. Today, a reporter asked McCoy why TCU is favored, and he had a pretty humorous response:
He’s probably not wrong there — oddsmakers realize that the Longhorns would prefer if Ash were starting. But it’s a pretty good, light-hearted response by McCoy, who isn’t worried about spreads or perception — he just wants to go out and beat TCU.
