Penn State Coach Larry Johnson’s Son On Facebook: “It’s Been A Great 18-Year Run”
Penn State interim head coach Larry Johnson is reportedly very upset that he’s been passed over for the permanent role with the Nittany Lions. According to John Clark of NBC10, his intention is to leave Happy Valley if/when current Vanderbilt coach James Franklin is hired. His son, Tony, even took to Facebook earlier today with a post that implied that Johnson is on his way out.
The situation sounds remarkably similar to that of interim USC coach Ed Orgeron, who was passed over for the leading role for Steve Sarkisian. We’ll see if Franklin, should he be officially hired, can convince Johnson to stick around.
