Penn State’s Players Are Pumped About James Franklin’s Arrival
Earlier Saturday morning, Penn State officially named its next head football coach, Vanderbilt’s James Franklin, after Bill O’Brien left the program for the Houston Texans. While the school gets set to announce Franklin at its 4:15 press conference, many of the Nittany Lions players are already sounding off on Twitter about the hire. So far, so good for Franklin – they seem to be excited.
Franklin led the Commodores to two consecutive nine-win seasons (and bowl victories) for the first time in school history. Clearly, PSU’s players are excited about what he brings to the table.
