Video: DeAndre Kane Injured As Iowa State Drops First Game
Iowa State dropped its first basketball game of the season Saturday afternoon to Oklahoma, 87-82. But it also may have lost its star senior guard, DeAndre Kane, to injury late in the second half. Kane, who leads the Cyclones in assists per game and ranks second on the team in scoring, landed awkwardly while trying to make a layup with less than a minute to go in the contest. In the video below, you can clearly see his ankle give out as he attempted to launch himself toward the rim.
Kane needed to be carried off of the court as time expired. Hopefully the injury isn’t as serious as it looks.
