Report: James Franklin Expected To Be Named Next Penn State Head Football Coach
It appears that Vanderbilt head football coach James Franklin will not hold that title for much longer — per several reports, Franklin will leave the Commodores to become the next head coach at Penn State, replacing the recently-departed Bill O’Brien:
Franklin led the Commodores to a 9-4 record this season and a BBVA Compass Bowl victory over Houston. In three years at Vanderbilt, he amassed a 24-15 record.
I guess Brandt Snedeker’s offer to give Franklin free golf lessons for life if he stayed at Vanderbilt just wasn’t convincing enough.
