Vanderbilt’s Andrew Jelks Tweets About Franklin-To-PSU: “I’ve Never Seen A Coach Make A Tackle, Block, Or Catch A Pass”
All signs point to Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin leaving for Penn State after three years in Nashville. While this has Commodore fans very nervous, as Franklin helped Vanderbilt put together the program’s first back-to-back winning seasons since 1975-76, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Andrew Jelks doesn’t seem to be too worried:
Jelks, who was recently named to the All-SEC Freshman team, seems to sympathize with Franklin’s possible motivations for leaving, retweeting this message from his brother Ben:
The Franklin-to-Penn State move isn’t official yet, but assuming that the reports are true, it will be very interesting to see what direction Vanderbilt moves in to keep their momentum.
