GIF: Ole Miss Ran A Fake Punt With Freshman DE Robert Nkemdiche, And It Worked

It isn’t going to take long for stud freshman Robert Nkemdiche to be the talk of the SEC, and probably the entire college football world. The 6-foot-5, 298-pound defensive end has already turned some heads down South by claiming a starting job on the Ole Miss defensive line as a true freshman, before ever playing a college football game. Today, in his first appearance, he has been a force on the defensive side of the ball, but came up even bigger on special teams.
Facing a 4th-and-1, Ole Miss faked a punt, and the ball ended up in the hands of the massive freshman defender. It wasn’t one of the beloved “fat guy touchdowns”, but it was a pretty nice first down pickup.
Watch out for the new secret weapon.
