School is getting back in session, and with the return of students to campus comes a lot of fun. NC States kicks off each school year with an awesome event known as Packapalooza — basically a giant “welcome back” festival full of games, music, food, and more.

Former American Idol contestant Scotty McCreery (a sophomore at NC State ) performed at Packapalooza this year. To the delight of the students, head football coach Dave Doeren actually came on stage with McCreery and the two played a pretty decent cover of the awful popular song “Wagon Wheel.”
