So THAT’S why the SEC is crazy about college football. The first conference matchup of the season featured two talented teams in Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, and it certainly did not disappoint. The game was a back-and-forth affair that had some crazy drama in the final three minutes — here are the three plays that had fans everywhere going nuts.
First, the incredible 4th down conversion by Vanderbilt:
Vanderbilt’s 34-yard touchdown pass that shocked the Rebels:
…and the 75-yard touchdown run that struck at the souls of Commodores fans:
The win is a huge one for Ole Miss, and really stings for Vanderbilt. The real winners here are college football fans everywhere who just devoured a perfect appetizer before Saturday’s full slate of games.
