SEC’s Mike Slive Says He’ll Be Wearing A Green Tie To The SEC Title Game To Support Michigan State
Whether or not you agree that Florida State and Ohio State are the two best college football teams in the country, it’s become obvious that the Seminoles and Buckeyes simply need to win their respective conference title games this Saturday to reach the BCS National Championship Game. Should that happen, the SEC’s streak of consecutive BCS championships – now at seven – would be snapped. Commissioner Mike Slive, who rarely sits in such a vulnerable position, will make it known who he is rooting for this weekend.
Slive told Clay Travis that he’ll be wearing a green tie to show support for Michigan State in the Big Ten title game. He also stated that a one-loss SEC team should be playing for the BCS championship.
Slive isn’t the only person who will be rooting for the Spartans on Saturday. Auburn and Missouri square off at 4:00 PM EST while Ohio State and Michigan State don’t kick off until 8:17 PM EST. Whichever SEC team wins is sure to be glued to the television all night.
