Temple may not perform very well on the football field (the Owls have yet to win a game), but the school has done a nice job in the equipment department so far in 2013, unveiling some very cool helmets. We’ve seen the team wear an all-white version with feathers, a Liberty Bell-dedicated version, and now, we’ve got a new cherry “diamond” lid. Check it out, via Nick Menta of CSN Philadelphia.
Why the diamond? It has to do with a famous speech made by Temple found Russell Conwell back in 1890. We’ll see if the Owls can win one in his memory.
