UGA’s Mark Richt: “Mathematically, It’s Not Over. I’m Going To Fight Until It’s Over”

This season isn’t going exactly as originally expected for the Georgia Bulldogs. The team opened the season with national championship aspirations, but after dropping its second straight game this weekend, this time to Vanderbilt, Georgia finds itself 4-3 on the season and unranked in both the AP and USA Today Coaches’ Poll .

But despite the obvious disappointment with the recent results, head coach Mark Richt is keeping his head up and maintaining a positive attitude. His team is now essentially three games behind Missouri in the SEC East standings (2 games + Mizzou has the tiebreaker), but Richt believes there is still a chance, and his team is going to keep fighting:

Obviously it’s a long shot, but it’s good to see that Richt and the Bulldogs aren’t going to throw in the towel on the season. If the team can get healthy and right the ship, Georgia still has a chance at double-digit wins in 2013.
