Auburn defensive back Chris Davis has had one heck of a week. Davis, who returned Alabama’s missed field goal 109 yards to give the Tigers victory as time expired this past Saturday, has been getting a little bit of the celebrity treatment from his classmates since. Now, he’s getting it from the periodicals. Davis is featured on this week’s national version of Sports Illustrated under the headline “War Damn Miracle”. Check it out:
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is on the cover of a regional Midwest version of the magazine this week as well.
Auburns fans now just have to worry that all of this doesn’t go to the Tigers’ players’ heads. They have a date with Mizzou that could wind up being as important as this past weekend’s Iron Bowl, if the cards fall right.
