ESPN may have already found its top anchor candidate from the Class of 2026. This past Saturday morning, college football insider Brett McMurphy brought his 9-year-old daughter Chesney on air to help him deliver a segment titled “10 at 10 of”, which runs down 10 hot topics ahead of the day’s action. Why? Northwestern hosted its first “peanut-free” game to raise awareness for the potentially-fatal peanut allergy that three million people – one being Chesney – suffer from.
But that was just the start.
Chesney went on to do two more segments – one on Florida’s lack of scheduling diversity, and another on Jen Bielema’s reverse #karma effect – before handing the reigns back over to her father. It was beyond impressive.
