Last fall, college football lost an absolute legend in Beano Cook, the longtime analyst for ESPN and ABC Sports. Cook, a Pitt alumnus, was also the sports information director at the university for a number of years, and left a lasting impression on the school.
As a tribute to Beano, the Panthers have decided to rename the practice fields in his honor — here is some new signage that was posted today:
