Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles are off to a hot start in 2013 — Winston’s 209.5 quarterback rating ranks second in the country and FSU is up to 8th in the country in both polls . The offense in particular has been spectacular, ranking 5th in scoring by putting up more than 51 points per game.
Despite the gaudy numbers, Winston has been hearing some suggestions as to what he can do to improve his game. One tip, or request, especially stood out to the quarterback, and he enjoyed it so much that he had to share it with the media today:
So wide receiver Chad Abram’s mom is petitioning to get her son some balls thrown his way, apparently. Maybe she has a point, considering Abram had only caught two passes prior to the Boston College game.
Against the Eagles, Abram had one catch for six yards. I guess Winston is still working on taking Abram’s mother’s advice, or he did just enough to humor her.
