By now, you’ve probably heard about the mess that is currently Grambling State’s football program. Last week, the football team committed mutiny , refusing to practice or play its scheduled game against Jackson State. The team abstained from playing in order to send a message to the administration, because the players are dealing with extremely poor facilities , among other things.
One of the reasons for the poor facilities is likely a lack of funding. Tonight, it was announced that one big brand, Muscle Milk, is going to help out Grambling State by providing quite a bit of free nutritional product to the players:
This will at least offset some of the program’s nutrition costs — a bit of quick math while looking at the Muscle Milk website reveals that the donation is worth approximately $18,400 — the drinks also contain a whopping 156,672 grams of protein, to get the Tigers nice and swole.
We have no idea if this donation is considered acceptable by the NCAA, but we’ll probably find out soon if it isn’t.
Muscle Milk Is Going To Donate Over 150,000 Grams Of Protein To Grambling State’s Football Program
