Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced yesterday that starting safety HaHa Clinton-Dix had been suspended indefinitely by the football program for a “violation of team rules”. According to The Tuscaloosa News, that violation stems from assistant strength and conditioning coach, Corey Harris, providing impermissible benefits to Clinton-Dix.
Harris allegedly gave Clinton-Dix a loan (that was less than $500) this past summer – which, in short, violates NCAA bylaws. The school also looked into whether Harris’ relationship with a representative of a sports agent implied any wrongdoing on Clinton-Dix’ part, but found no evidence.
Harris has since been placed on administrative leave.
