Florida linebacker Antonio Morrison made one of the more interesting headlines this past weekend when he was arrested for allegedly harassing a police animal after “barking” at a trooper’s dog. Today, according to USA Today’s Dan Wolken, those charges will be dropped.
This comes a day after Gainesville.com posted a video of the alleged incident - which appears pretty mild. The Sheriff of the police force, Sadie Darnell, even said that the acting officers should have given Morrison a warning instead of arresting him.
Morrison was suspended “at least” two games by UF after the incident. No word on whether that will be reconsidered.
