Twitter is a crazy, crazy thing. It’s the single best source for the news on the planet, but with great power comes great responsibility . We’ve seen plenty of athletes get into trouble on Twitter this summer — of course Johnny Manziel and Marshall Henderson are examples 1A and 1B.
Of course, there are athletes who use Twitter the right way , too — South Carolina’s Mike Davis comes to mind. But even though Davis keeps his feed appropriate, he is going to hang it up before the season starts:
Good move?
We’ll certainly miss seeing Davis tweet, but we definitely respect the decision. We’re willing to bet that quite a few coaches wish their players would make the same one.
