Update: BucksInsider.com is reporting that Urban Meyer has suspended Roby indefinitely pending further investigation.
Earlier: This is not a good day for Ohio State fans. Earlier today, we learned that starting running back Carlos Hyde was dismissed from the team following an incident that occurred in a Columbus bar this past weekend.
Now, it appears that starting cornerback Bradley Roby got himself in a spot of trouble this weekend as well. According to the Columbus Dispatch, Roby was in Bloomington, Indiana late Saturday night, and he was involved in a disturbance at the bar.
According to The Dispatch report :
According to Monroe County court records, Roby was arrested early yesterday morning in Bloomington and is facing preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury. Sources told The Dispatch he was asked to leave a bar after a disturbance, refused, and was subdued by bouncers at the bar before being taken into custody.
This is obviously a developing situation, and it will be extremely interesting to see how head coach Urban Meyer handles it, particularly in light of the recent Hyde punishment, and the arrest of Marcus Baugh not too long ago.
