LeBron James Says That Heat-Thunder Is Not A Rivalry Compared To UNC-Duke
For all you folks who think watching Kevin Durant and the Thunder throw down against King James and his famous Heat teammates is one of the best rivalry games in sports, LeBron himself begs to differ. In pre-game comments, James says it’s hard to call this matchup a rivalry when you see how vicious the rivalry between Duke and UNC can get. He goes as far to say that there needs to be a separate words for intense NBA competition but that “rivalry” doesn’t work.
Admittedly, we have to agree. Given the choice between Heat-Thunder and Duke-UNC tonight, we’ll probably be tuning in to the latter. After all those #dookfans hashtags and a snow delay, we’re dying to see if the game lives up to the hype.
