Bradley University unveiled its first mascot since 1996 today, and…well the last iteration of Pierre the Pelican has some company in the “horrifying mascot” club.
Bradley, whose teams are called the Braves, decided to go with a gargoyle mascot. The school’s campus features four different gargoyle statues, so it makes some sense. Still, this seems like a strange choice for a mascot…
The Peoria Journal-Star released a video of the unveiling of “Kaboom!”
He even has his own Twitter account.
This is all very strange, but at least it’s original.
