LeBron James took to Instagram last night to post a heartfelt note to his father, who was not a large part of James’ life growing up. Instead of complaining about that unfortunate circumstance, James uses his past as inspiration for being a good father and person, and actually goes as far to thank his father for helping him become who he is today.
While it’s always unfortunate when someone has to grow up with a parent missing, it is cool to see such a high-profile athlete like James open up like this, and using his experiences to help others who may be in similar circumstances.
