There generally isn’t much to say about a 40 point blowout, especially when an epic Top 25 showdown is going on just one channel up the dial. UConn jumped all over USF last night, jumping out to a 45-14 (14!) lead in the first half before cruising to an 83-40 win.
There are plenty of highlights for UConn fans, but none seemed to get the UConn bench, and one team manager in particular, going like walk-on Pat Lenehan’s corner three, the final basket of the night for the Huskies. Check out this gif focusing on the manager’s wild celebration:
He wasn’t the only one celebrating Lenehan’s bucket. One intrepid fan remixed the shot with Kanye West’s “A Star is Born” after the line was used by Mike Patrick during the ESPN2 broadcast:
