Marcus Smart Apologizes To His Teammates On Twitter For Poor Play
Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart is regarded as one of the best players in all of college basketball, but today just simply wasn’t his day. Smart, who averages almost 18 points per game, scored just four points and got into foul trouble early in the second half (he eventually fouled out) against West Virginia. While OSU was able to hang on for victory behind Le’Bryan Nash’s 29 points, Smart was visibly frustrated the entire afternoon.
After the game, Smart took to Twitter to apologize to his teammates.
It was just the third time this year that Smart has been held to under 10 points – the other two, however, were blowout victories. Still, it’s great to see his team-first attitude after a frustrating day.
