It turns out that pre-game motivational videos aren’t just used to pump up the college kids. According to Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, who scored a ridiculous 62 points Friday night on 23-of-35 shooting, the coaching staff had the team watch a Muhammad Ali speech before taking the court against the Charlotte Bobcats. Whatever Ali said, it worked.
The Knicks dropped 125 points on the Bobcats – 62 from Melo, 63 from the rest. Perhaps the coaching staff should go out and find a few more Ali clips.
