Last week against the Kentucky Wildcats, Georgia lost its star quarterback for the rest of the season to a torn ACL. Aaron Murray later took to Twitter to thank fans for all of the support they have given him throughout his time at the university.
This morning he underwent surgery to repair the torn ACL, and he just reported that everything went well:
The road to recovery starts today. Excited to get this process going. Gonna come back stronger! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers

Surgery went well! I feel like I’m ready to go wreck tech this weekend!

Of course, Murray won’t be able to help “wreck Tech” on the field this Saturday, but it’s great to hear that his surgery was a success.
The Georgia-Georgia Tech game for the “state championship” will air at 3:30 EST on Saturday, on ABC.
