Earlier today, we showed you a tweet from former UCLA defensive end Datone Jones, who proclaimed that one of his “best memories” as a Bruin was the play in 2012 in which Matt Barkley was injured by a monster hit from Anthony Barr. It was a terrible, totally classless tweet that he later deleted (you can still see it here ) after facing serious backlash.
Barkley himself saw the tweet, and responded to Jones with a shot of his own, although it was much more appropriate. He pointed to the scoreboard of the 2011 USC-UCLA matchup, which the Trojans won 50-0:
.@IAM_Dat_One someone getting injured is your favorite memory? Clearly not too many great memories on your end #FiftytoZero #USC
