Nobody has a way with words quite like Steve Spurrier. After his South Carolina team won the Capital One Bowl over the Wisconsin Badgers, Spurrier had a chance to get on the mic after accepting the bowl trophy. He thanked all of the Gamecocks fans who traveled down to Orlando for the game and made the season special, and he also decided to take a shot at Clemson out of nowhere, indicating that winning the “state championship” earlier this season was pretty much as great as the bowl win.
Of course, South Carolina defeated Clemson 31-17 just a few weeks ago.
Steve Spurrier: ‘These two Capital One Bowls in a row are pretty nice, but that state championship ain’t bad either.’

South Carolina fans had to absolutely love that one — nothing beats beating your rivals, and then seeing your head coach rub it in.
